Location: United States TourResponsibilities
Act as a stagehand during setup, teardown, and performances.
Supervise, along with the stagehand team, the safe and efficient setup and teardown of sets in collaboration with the local crew.
Assemble, dismantle, and maintain stage elements at each performance venue.
Participate in the preset of sets and props before the start of performances.
Coordinate with other departments (lighting, sound, props) to ensure smooth technical transitions.
Assist the Technical Director (TD) with daily technical operations, planning, and communication throughout the tour.
Ensure compliance with safety standards for all equipment and stage installations throughout the tour.
Any other related tasks.
Key Phases
Preproduction: Setup, teardown, rehearsals, and tour preparation.
Tour: As a stagehand, handle setup and teardown for your department in each new city, make adjustments according to the venue, and work as a stagehand during performances. As TD assistant, assist the TD with daily operations during performance periods.
Post-tour: Inventory, equipment storage, technical debriefing.
Candidate Profile
Experience in stagehand work and technical coordination or team supervision.
Strong organizational and communication skills are an asset.
Ability to work under pressure and solve problems quickly.
Functional English required;
Proactive attitude and team spirit are essentials.

Serve as props handler / stagehand for load-in, load-out, and performances.
Safely and efficiently assemble and dismantle props and scenic elements in collaboration with the local crew.
Prepare, organize, and maintain all props for each performance according to artistic and technical requirements.
Assist with presetting sets and props before the performances and act as stagehand during the shows.
Participate in daily load-in and load-out, and installations and teardowns at each venue.
Ensure all equipment and scenic elements comply with safety standards throughout the tour.

Perform rigging operations, including the hanging and securing of scenery, lighting, and audio equipment.
Prepare, organize, and install scenic elements and technical equipment for each performance.
Assist with the preset of sets and props before performances and act as stagehand during the shows.
Collaborate with the technical team for daily load-in and load-out.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure all scenic and rigging equipment meets safety standards.
Maintain equipment in good working order throughout the tour.

Experience in stage machinery and/or rigging for live performance.
Knowledge of rigging principles, stage machinery, hardware, and safety protocols (ETCP certification an asset).
Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with tight schedules.
Good physical condition, reliability, and ability to work at heights when needed.

Ensure all temporary electrical installations meet safety codes and standards
Operate the follow spot during performances if required.

Act as the Wardrobe Supervisor for the show and perform all duties inherent to this role;
Ensure the maintenance, including washing, ironing, and preparation of costumes and wigs;
Coordinate cleaning and repairs with dry cleaners, wigmakers, or other collaborators as needed, in collaboration with the tour coordinator and within the allocated budget;
If necessary, purchase and replace costume items in collaboration with the associate costume designer;
Supervise the entire wardrobe department during the tour;
Ensure the artistic integrity and consistency of the show;
Work closely with performers to guarantee comfort, visual continuity, and quick changes;
Perform any other related duties as required.

Program and operate the lighting board during rehearsals and performances;
Ensure precise follow spot tracking (follow calls) in coordination with the artistic and technical team;
Adapt lighting plots according to the specific constraints of each venue;
Prepare and lead lighting tests, focusing, and intensity adjustments during load-in and strike;
Participate in and lead the full setup and teardown of the show alongside the chief electrician;
Collaborate with the lighting designer to ensure the artistic integrity of the show;

Act as the Sound Engineer for the show and perform all duties inherent to this role;
In collaboration with the sound designer, prepare and/or review sound plots and specifications;
Ensure the artistic integrity of the show’s sound;
Responsible for the setup, tuning, and operation of the sound board during the tour;
Operate both the FOH (front-of-house) board and stage monitors;
Prepare and lead sound checks and level adjustments during load-in and before performances;
Work closely with the technical and artistic teams, including the stage manager and microphone technician, to ensure smooth show operations;

Serve as a liaison between the artistic, technical, and production teams;

Maintain accurate documentation for accounting and financial reporting;
Create and/or update production documents (calendars, show credits, tour book, etc.);
Manage comp tickets and merchandise;
Perform logistical and technical errands before, during, and after shows;
